성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성에 관한 고찰 = Resilience of Victims of Sexual Violence

Objectives: This study examines the theory and analyzes empirical data on the resilience of the victims of sexual violence.
Method: The author delved into the theoretical literature on, and research studies of, resilience among those who have experienced sexual violence.
Results: Resilience among victims of sexual violence can best be understood both theoretically and in terms of risk and protective factors.
Conclusions: An in-depth understanding of the theoretical and research literature on resilience can prepare family therapists to provided improved services for the victims of sexual violence.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

적응유연성은 기존 위험모델의 한계를 극복함과 동시에 성폭력생존자를 위한 실증적인 개입이나 프로그램 개발의 중요한 단초를 제공한 패러다임 중에 하나이다. 이 연구의 목적은 성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성에 대한 이론 및 경험적 연구를 고찰하여 국내의 성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성 연구의 현시점과 발전방안을 실증적으로 제공하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 먼저, 성폭력 생존자와 적응유연성 개념 및 전반적인 연구 동향을 검토하였으며, 성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성 연구들을 통해 제시된 보호요인과 위험요인을 심도 있게 살펴보았다. 그 결과 회복의 관점에서 적응유연성을 탐색하려는 다양한 노력이 이루어지고는 있으나, 여전히 실태 및 요인 검증에 머물러 있는 단계임을 알 수 있었다. 이에 국내 성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성 실체에 대한 심층적인 이해가 요구되며, 이를 반영한 측정 개발이 선행될 때 다양한 위험요인과 보호요인의 정보가 축적될 것으로 기대된다. 더불어 위험요인과 보호요인의 다양한 경로 분석을 통한 영향력 검증이 이루어질 때 성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성을 촉진하기 위한 실증적인 대안이 모색될 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 성폭력 생존자의 적응유연성 연구의 확장을 모색해 봄과 동시에 이들의 적응유연성 향상을 돕기 위한 가족 치료적 실천의 이론적 근거를 마련하였다는 데에 의의를 두고 있다.
