The unsteady flowfield around oscillating OA209 airfoil at a Reynolds number of 3.5×10<SUP>5</SUP> were numerically investigated. Three different reduced frequencies were tested in order to see how it affects the hysteresis loop of an airfoil. At a reduced frequency of 0.05 the deep dynamic stall process was further investigated. The laminar separation bubble (LSB) was observed at the early stage of dynamic stall process. It was found that the dynamic stall separation, which is appeared just before the generation of a dynamic stall vortex (DSV), interacts with the LSB and the DSV.
