역기능적 상위인지가 사고억제와 우울을 매개로 시험불안에 미치는 영향 = The Study of Dysfunctional Metacognition Effect in Test Anxiety Focusing on Thought Suppression and Depression

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the causal relationship between two parameters, the suppression of ability to think and the depression, when dysfunctional metacognition acts as a test anxiety variable. 430 students from Busan, Daegu, Daejeon and Seoul responded to the survey a week before the test period. Measurement tools including a shortened form of dysfunctional cognition(MCQ-30), the thought suppression(WBSI), depression(BDI), and test anxiety(TAI) was used. The relationships between variables were inquired using AMOS 7.0 and SPSS 13.0. The main results of this study are as follows.
First, dysfunctional metacognition directly affects test anxiety as well as indirectly had a significant impact on test anxiety through depression. It means that anxiety about needless worry about test directly affects test anxiety, and also indrectly affects test anxiety by the depression as a link.
Second, dysfunctional metacognition affects significant effect on test anxiety by the mediated of suppression and depression. This results suggest that test anxiety about worry affects test anxiety because the suppression of ability to think and the depression work together as a cognitive factor and an emotional factor respectively on test anxiety. Third, the thought suppression have a direct effect on test anxiety, and was not affected by the depression. Also thought suppression had more affection than depression in test anxiety. Fourth, the depression had a significant effect on test anxiety.
This study is meaningful to analysis though verification of causal model(amos) about dysfunctional metacognition affect directly on test anxiety also, by the mediated thought suppression and depression affect on test anxiety.
