서구적 가치와 현대 한국의 시민의식 = Western Values and Civic Value Consciousness in the Current Korean Society

This study is a survey and it`s analysis on to what degree western values, especially the values as Christianity, democracy, and capitalism exert influence on formation of civic value consciousness in the current Korean society. We conduct a survey of common people and professionals in ethics, and analyze it`s results. According to the study, contemporary Koreans accept the importance of western values or respect them above the average. In conclusion, western values as Christianity, democracy, and capitalism have important effects on formation of civic value consciousness in the current Korean society. And contemporary Koreans tend to recognize and evaluate the western values positively.
