『주자어류(朱子語類)』<독서법(讀書法)>에 나타난 활간론(活看論) = The Theory of Vital Seeing in Reading Method of Zhuziyulei

국문 초록 (Abstract)

朱子는 활간의 개념을 『주자어류』안의 <독서법> 밖에서 언급하고 있다. 활간론의 개념은 세 가지이다. 大小분별하기, 초점의 차이 확인하기, 이치에 입각해서 도리 파악하 기가 그것이다. 이 세 가지를 하나로 정리해보면 ``이성적 판단에 의거해서 형식 논리넘어서기``가 된다. 활간론을 면밀히 따지기 위해서는 형식과 내용의 측면을 골고루 살펴야 한다. 활간의 형식이 갖춘 내적 질서로는 ``선입관 버리기→글의 뜻 파악하기→마음 밖으로 나아가기`` 의 과정을 들 수 있고, 활간의 궁극적인 가치로는 ``성인의 언어, 인간, 삼라만상을 관통하는 하나의 이치 찾기``를 들 수 있다. 형식과 내용을 전체적으로 볼 때는 우주적 자아의 형성이라는 지향점이 나타난다. 성리학적 이념에 비추어 활간론이 지니는 의의는 두 가지이다. 활간 독서가 수양론적 근거로서의 성격을 지닌다는 점과 활간 독서가 인식론적 방법으로서의 성격을 지닌다는 점이 그것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Juja mentioned the concept of Vital Seeing outside the Reading Method in Jujaeoryu. The concept of Vital Seeing is divided into three: differentiation of the lighter and the grave thing, to identify the difference of focus, to grasp a reason based on principles. To put the three differentiative concepts into one, they become ``To go over formal logics according to rational judgement``. To examine the Theory of Vital Seeing closely, both the form and the content of that Theory should be investigated. The internal order of the form of Vital Seeing is ``to divest oneself of preconceived notion →to grasp the meaning of the written text → to move forward mind. The ultimate value of Vital Seeing is ``to find the one principle penetrating the language of saint, human being, and all things in nature``. In general, the orientation of the form and the content is a formation of universal self. The Theory of Vital Seeing in view of Neo-Confucian ideology has two significant meanings. One is that Vitally-seeing reading has a characteristic of a cultivative ground for mind and body. The other is that Vitally-seeing has a characteristic of a recognitive method.
