목적 본 연구의 목적은 국내 태권도 생활체육인과 전문체육인의 부상 실태 및 안전 인식을 분석하여 추후 태권도 체육인의부상 예방과 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다.
방법 2019 스포츠 안전사고 실태조사의 자료를 활용하여 태권도 생활체육인 220명과 전문체육인 313명을 대상으로 부상의종류 및 유형, 부상의 원인, 스포츠 안전 수칙 등 14개의 문항을 활용하여 부상 실태 및 안전인식을 분석하였다.
결과 생활체육 및 전문체육인의 총 1,048건의 부상 중 하지 부상이 650건(62.0%)으로 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 주된부상의 종류는 생활체육인과 전문체육인 모두에서 발목 및 발 부위의 염좌 및 파열이 각각 30건(31.6%), 103건(32.6%)로가장 많았다. 또한, 부상의 직접적인 이유는 사람과의 충돌과 무리한 동작으로 인한 부상이 가장 많았다. 전문체육인의 부상횟수와 재부상 횟수는 모두 생활체육인보다 높았으며, 스포츠 안전 수칙 인지도와 안전사고 예방 및 대처 방법 숙지 정도항목에서 생활체육인과 전문체육인은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.
결론 본 연구는 지속적으로 증가하는 태권도 생활체육인과 전문체육인의 높은 부상 빈도를 고려했을 때, 태권도 참가자를위한 부상 예방을 포함한 스포츠 안전 프로그램 개발 및 교육의 필요성을 시사한다.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examining the injury and sports safety awareness of recreational and elite Taekwondo players.
Method Using the data from the 2019 Sports Safety Accident Survey, 220 Taekwondo recreational players and 313 professional players were evaluated the injuries and safety awareness using 14 items, including types of injuries, causes of injuries, and sports safety awareness.
Results Out of a total of 1,048 injuries of recreational players and elite players, lower extremity injuries were the highest with 650 cases (62.0%). As for the types of major injuries, sprains and tears in the ankle and foot were the most common in both recreational players and elite athletes players, with 30 cases (31.6%) and 103 cases (32.6%), respectively. In addition, the most frequent injury due to collision with a person and excessive motion. Both the number of injuries and re-injuries of elite players were higher than those of recreational players, and there was a statistically significant difference between recreational players and elite players in terms of awareness of sports safety awareness.
Conclusion This study suggests the necessity of injury prevention education for Taekwondo players. It is considered that future research on the development of sports safety programs should be conducted based on the results of this study.
