However helical gear is very difficult to manufacture by forging process, although they have many advantages, such as lower cost and higher properties. Therefore, cold forged helical gears have not been widely used. In the production of products using a cold forging process may affect the quality and accuracy due to high strain, residual stress and elastic deformation of the product. Forged gear shows the better strength and properties than machined gear.
