The current interest in implant, artificial dental roots has increased due to advancement in knowledge on implantation and growth of materials engineering. And biological mechanism to bone of implant which sustains loading and the new procedures for implant stability in case severely resorbed alveolar bone height has been developed for the last 10 years.
after considering the established results of the researches on osseointegration around implants, author could obtain the following results for osseointegration and bone formation around them.
The following results have been obtained:
1. The use of various ways, such as guided tissue regeneration technique, demineralized freezed dried allografts, bone morphogenic protein for bone regeneration enhanced bone formationin in bone defect around implant.
2. Immediate implantation, sinus lifting, nerve transposition, split-crest technique (edentulous ridge expansion technique) were useful surgical procedures if the criteria are fulfilled.
3. The best one of implant surface treatment methods in case implant fixture exposure through peri-implantitis was with stone, rubber point, and jet polisher in turn.
4. Alteration of the titanium surface morphology enhanced selectively the attachment of either epithelia cells, fibroblasts, or bone cells.
5. It has been necessary that low speed of revolution and irrigation on preparing the hole for implant fixture was to be kept for avoiding the temperature rise and bone necrosis around the implant fixture.
6. More studies pointed to the possibility of an immediate loading of dental implant in very carefully selected cases.
