본 연구는 최근 점자에 관한 연구동향을 기초로 하여, 앞으로 필요한 점자교육의 연구방향을 알아보고, 점자교육의 효율적인 교육적 조치를 위한 연구방법과 방향에 대해 제시하기 위해, 2000년부터 2018년 사이의 국내 점자교육에 관한 연구를 61편을 분석하였다. 이에 그 내용을 분석한 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 2000년 이후 국내 점자에 관한 연구는 총 61편이 있었으며, 연구주제는 점자지도방법, 점자의 물리적 특성, 점자규정, 점자교과서, 읽기ᆞ쓰기, 점자 인식 및 실태, 점자관련프로그램에 관한 연구들이 있었다. 또한 이들의 연구대상별 특성은 시각장애학생, 시각장애학교교사, 점자교과서, 점자특성 및 규정, 점자관련프로그램, 기타 등으로 나타났고, 연구방법으로는 조사연구, 문헌연구, 분석연구, 실험/비교연구, 사례연구, 혼합연구 등이 있었다.
둘째, 국내 점자교육의 각 변인별 특성으로는 연도별로는 2008년에 8편으로 가장 많았고, 주제별로는 읽기ᆞ쓰기가 15편으로 가장 많았다. 또한, 연구대상별로는 시각장애학생이 28편으로 가장 많았으며, 연구방법별 특성으로는 분석연구가 17편으로 가장 많았다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 후속연구를 제언하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study that is research to study the direction of Braille education in the future and investigate study method and direction for Braille education efficient educational. And this study analyzes the researches from 2000 to 2018 based on recent research trends on Braille education. The results of this study were as follows.
First, There were 61 about the domestic study about braille from 2000 that purpose of the study is Braille teaching method, physical characteristics of Braille, the law of Braille, Braille textbook, reading and writing, awareness and reality about Braille, Braille program. These characteristics of the object are visual impairment students, visual impairment teacher, Braille textbook, characteristic and law of Braille, Braille program, etc. And research methods include research studies, literature studies, analysis studies, experimental/comparative studies, case studies, and mixed studies.
Secondly, the characteristic of each factor of domestic Braille education that was the largest number in 8study, in 2008 by year and reading and writing was the largest number 15study by subject. And there was the largest number of study that was the 28studies about visual impairment student by object and analysis studied 17studies. There are also suggestions for further studies based on the research results.
