중국의 에너지 외교정책과 국제정치적 함의

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Energy security is becoming critical factor in Chinese foreign policy. Chinese leaders realize that energy is an important strategic issue concerning China's economic growth, social stability and national security. The overwhelming attention and efforts of Chinese policy makers have been on ensuring an adequate and reliable domestic supply of energy. The strategy of energy security is encourging China's oil companies to pursue access to overseas oil and gas exploration and production, oil diplomacy for ensuring it, and construction of pipelines and strategic reserve. China's efforts toward greater energy security through multilateral organization are also discussed. Energy demands have accelerated China's rise to global prominence and appear to raise conflictual aspects not only for the prospect of cooperation between United States and China but also geostrategic milieu in East Asia.
