The bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is the most fatal disease for cattle, which is high lethality virus and has been associated with inapparent infection. The high lethality for the cattle would occur economical losses and needs to detection method for BVDV as a prevention of cattle. In this study, the dot blotting method was introduced to develop the detection which is useful and portable method. In addition, this study was applied to the signal enhancement by using copper nano-polyhedral shell (CuP) overgrowth in order to improve the signal of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), has an advantage for the development of naked-eye-based highly sensitive and selective detection against BVDV. Consequently, by using the signal enhancement method for the coated AuNPs with affinity peptide indicated a low detection limit of 0.19 copies/mL. Reducing infection syndromes, and the biosensor will have a potential as a new biosensing platform for point-of-care testing by applying much more fields.
