This study was aimed at exploring the reform direction of life-long education by clarifying the health management program of the life-long education center attached to the university. As data collection method, this researcher conducted a questionnaire survey to the subjects. Over 4 time questionnaire survey from September 16 till 26, 2002, sampled 4 university life-long education institutes of life education centers attached to universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi executing health the management program, and analyzed 637 copies of the questionnaire. As data processing method, used the statistical program, SPSS/PC program, and utilized percentage for demographical features, socio-economic environment, surroundings and status of health the management program of the life-long education center attached to the university, and administered X2 verification for the correlation between participation status and satisfaction of the life-long education center attached to the university. First, it was indicated that ‘the number of the subjects experiencing in participation at health management programs was 294, and that of those not was 343, and for the question of participation motive, the descending highest answers were ‘for health management or children s education , ‘employment or avocation , ‘hobby or recreation , and for selection motive, ‘the institute was at higher level than others‘, ‘by surrounding recommendation or advertisement . Participation motive on a personal variable was mainly for take-off, and men for employment or pastime valued more practical aspect than women. Second, for the question of motive of taking health management programs, 134 answered ‘to enrich life , 102 ‘to get knowledge and attainments , and for the teaching method of programs they are taking. 246 answered ‘practice focused , and 156 ‘lecture focused , and for the lecture contents, 317 answered ‘satisfied , and 154 ‘ordinary . For the emphasis of programs, 236 answered ‘combination of theory and practice , and 130 ‘practice improvement of trainees , and for the time of daily educational program, 167 answered ‘one and a half hour , and 162 ‘two and a half hours’, and for satisfaction with the time of health management program, 348 answered ‘ordinary , and 112 ‘a bit short . For the taking period of programs, 213 ‘over 12 months , and 205 ‘below 12 months , and for any intention to other health management programs to be opened, 263 ‘willing to if time permits , and 129 ‘to select by contents or trainers , and 128 ‘to take the course at all cost. Third, for the future orientation of the health management program of the life-long education center attached to the university (measure to be taken for those not taking the course), 188 subjects amounting to 29.5%, the highest rate, answered ‘expansion of study materials/space/facility , 147 to 23.1%, the second highest rate ‘generally contented with present facility, but it can be analyzed that they consider enlarging facility and installation to attract those not taking the course.
