영성이 암 환우 치유에 미치는 영향에 대한 소고 = An Exploration of Spiritual Healing Effects within Cancer Patients

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 기독교 영성이 암환우의 치유에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 기독교 영성 관점에서 암 치유의 경험을 질적 연구방법론으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 9명의 면접자를 중심으로 심층 인터뷰를 했다.
암 환우들의 영과 혼과 육을 총체적으로 살피어서, 각개인마다 고유한 근원적인 원인을 제대로 파악해야 치유에 도움을 얻을 수 있다는 점을 알게 되었다. 돌연변이된 암 줄기세포를 가진 진짜 악성종양인 경우에 현대의학의 표준치료법으로는 대개가 암 종양의 역습을 당해 생명이 단축될 수 있다. 표준치료법으로 살아남는 경우들은 상당한 후유증을 갖고 살아가게 된 유사암 환자들이다. 유사암이 아닌 진짜 악성 종양에 있어서 치유는 생명의 주관자이신 하나님의 주권 아래에 있다. 또한 연구 분석 결과, 9명의 면접자들이 암을 다스리기 위해 치병 생활을 하는 동안에 암이 가져다준 유익이 드러났다.
영성 회복을 위한 공동체의 치유 예배의 과정이 개발되어 정착하면 암 환우들에게 도움이 될 것이다. 이 치유 예배 과정은 영적, 심리적, 육체적, 사회 환경적 원인을 찾아내고 치유까지 접근할 수 있도록 하는 말씀과 기도 중심의 영성 회복 프로그램이어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between Christian spirituality and cure for cancer patients. Using a qualitative research method, experiences of cancer survivors were analyzed in the perspective of Christian spirituality. This study consists of in-depth interviews with nine interviewees.
This study found out that identifying the underlying cause of cancer for individuals by looking into patients’ spirits, souls, and bodies can help treat cancer. For the case of the real malignant tumors with mutated cancer stem cells, standard treatment from modern medical science can actually shorten life of the patient as the tumors counterattack. The patients who survived after getting standard treatment for cancer are the patients with pseudo-cancer. God, who is in control of life, has sovereign authority over curing cancer for the patients with malignant tumors. Furthermore, this study found out that 9 interviewees benefitted from the period of fighting against cancer.
It will be helpful for cancer patients if the program of church community healing service for restoration of Christian spirituality is developed and established. This program of healing worship should be a restoration program for Christian spirituality with the Word and prayer at its center so that patients can discover spiritual, psychological, physical, and social environmental causes and attain healing.
