      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

John McDowell regards moral disposition as a specific concept called second nature. It is explained that the moral second nature is basically non-natural, and formed by the development of practical reason. Although his theory tries to explain the achievement of moral disposition by employing both Aristotelian moral education and Kantian reflection, the two theories are tailored to fit for his own view. Basically McDowell occupies Neurathian viewpoint that only moral phenomena are available to us, and that there is no vantage point from which the nature of morals can be analyzed. So he presents quietism that anything beyond moral phenomena should not be discussed. He also presents a monistic epistemic frame called phenomonology which can be applied to both external world and moral phenomena. The author argues that McDowell`s concept of practical reason does not well account for commonsense moral disposition and moral facts. This has something to do with quietism and the monistic epistemology, according to the author. Further, as long as McDowell sticks to these two views, his theory is not very different from a naturalistic theory. If he really wants to make it distinguished from naturalism, the author argues, McDowell should adopt more of practical reason from traditional rationalists like Kant.
