가상현실 기반 학부모 상담 시뮬레이션에서 시각적 보조도구의 활용이 자기효능감 및 인지부하에 미치는 영향 = The effects of visual aids on self-efficacy and cognitive load in a virtual reality-based parent-teacher counseling simulation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 가상현실 기반의 학부모 상담 훈련 시뮬레이션에서 시각적 보조도구의 제공 전략이 예비 교사의 상담 자기효능감 및 인지부하에 미치는 영향을 조사하는 것이다. 상담 절차를 수행하는 데 가이드 역할을 하는 시각적 보조도구의 제공이 상담 경험에 긍정적일지, 혹은 과도한 시각 정보제공으로 인해 부정적일지를 판단해 보는 것이다. 독립변수는 상담 과업을 돕는 시각적 보조도구의 제공 유무이며, 종속변수는 학부모 상담 자기효능감 및 인지부하였다. 연구참여자는 50명의 예비 교사였으며, 25명씩 두 그룹으로 나뉘어 가상현실 기반의 학부모 상담 시뮬레이션 시나리오를 수행했다. 연구 결과, 종속변수 중, 학부모 상담 자기효능감에 대한 옴니버스 테스트 및 개별 하위요인에 대한 분산 분석에서 집단 간 유의한 차이가 없었다. 다른 종속변수인 인지부하에서는 옴니버스 테스트에서는 집단 간 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 하위 구인 중 내생적 인지부하에서 유의한 차이가 보고되었다. 시각적 보조도구를 제공 받은 경우에 내생적 인지부하가 유의미하게 낮았다. 즉, 가상현실 시뮬레이션 환경에서 추가적인 시각적 보조도구의 제공 전략은 인지적 부담을 낮추는 긍정적 전략일 수 있다. 그러나 자기효능감 측면에서는 유의미한 전략이 아니며, 이의 향상을 위해서는 반복적인 시뮬레이션 훈련이 필요함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 가상현실 기반 학부모 상담 시뮬레이션의 효과적 설계와 실행 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of visual aid strategies in virtual reality-based parent-teacher counseling training simulations on counseling self-efficacy and cognitive load for pre-service teachers. Specifically, the study aimed to determine whether the provision of visual aids that guide the counseling process would positively or negatively affect the counseling experience due to excessive visual information. The independent variable was the presence or absence of visual aids to assist with the counseling tasks, and the dependent variables were counseling self-efficacy and cognitive load. Fifty pre-service teachers participated in the study, divided into two groups of twenty-five, performing a virtual reality-based parent-teacher conference simulation scenario. The results showed no significant differences between the groups in omnibus tests and ANOVA for subfactors of counseling self-efficacy. For the other dependent variable, cognitive load, no significant differences were found in the omnibus tests between the groups; however, significant differences were reported in the subfactor of intrinsic cognitive load. The group provided with visual aids had significantly lower intrinsic cognitive load. This suggests that the strategy of providing additional visual aids in a virtual reality simulation environment can be a positive strategy for reducing cognitive burden. However, in terms of self-efficacy, it is not a significant strategy, indicating that repetitive simulation training is necessary for its improvement. This study provides insights into the effective design and implementation of virtual reality-based parent-teacher conference simulations.
