Thermosensitive hydrogels, which composed N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPAAM) and t-butylacrylamide(t-BMA), were synthesised by redox polymerization in 10% methanol aqueous solution containing ammonium peroxodisulfate (APS) at 4oC for 24 hrs. A lower critical solution temperatures (LCSTs) of the hydrogels were decreased with increase of t-BAM contents in the polymer. Deswelling/swelling of the hydrogels were increased with decrease of copolymer concentration in aqueous solution. The critical deswelling of hydrogels in releasing water solution from the gel at the desired temperature and then the released water was and absorbed to indicating papers. A exposed time at elevated temperature was measured a length of changed color on indicating papers. The thermosensitive hydrogels are expect to be valuable for the sensing materials of Time-Temperature labels(TTLs).
