The purpose of this study is to propose a reliable and economic repair materials and rehabilitation methods for concrete pavement and concrete-exposed bridge deck through literature review, survey and application of test section, the laboratory test, survey and review on field application, and case studies applied within a country and a foreign states. The results are as follows; To understand of repair and rehabilitation on damaged concrete pavements or concrete-exposed bridges, the concept were studied for subjected load, damage causes, the example of construction, caused stresses, and material properties. The sections of constructed repair and rehabilitation from 1998 to 1999 were It be field survey on expressway. The purpose of field survey is convincing of performance for the repair and reconstruction section elapsed one or two years after construction. The six types materials were constructed on expressway. Refailures were survey at repair sections and beside substrate. Diamond grinding method and Latex-modified concrete were reviewed to extend performance and service life of damaged concrete Pavements and concrete-exposed bridges. In cases of the United States, it shown good results at economics and service life. The laboratory test was executed four types of Korea products and two types of a foreign states products to analyze properties of repair materials. The items of laboratory test were compressive and flexural strength according to ages, and uniaxial bond strength between new material and substrate by change temperatures. The results of the laboratory test shown a difference according to materials. Epoxy mortar and Acrylic latex-modified mortar were resulted good strength properties in the laboratory test. To analyze field application and performance of the repair materials for damaged section on concrete pavement, the test construction has been executed at damaged section on specific section at Seoul Metropolitan Belt Expressway. The results of test construction and field survey shown good performance, but a part of test section was again failures. This research will be helped to understand for repair materials and rehabilitation methods to field managers, to extend service life of long term performance for repair and rehabilitation sections by supplied data to choice and apply of materials when concrete pavements and concrete-exposed bridges will be repaired.
