통섭적 신학교육의 핵심으로서 선교와 선교학: 패러다임 전환 = Mission and Missiology as the Core of Consilient Theological Education: A Paradigm Shift

Mission and mission studies have been marginalized and overlooked in the church and theology for a long time. Mission studies have struggled to find a rightful place in numerous theological education institutions around the world. Mission studies have often been considered as outsiders or unrelated to theology. It cannot be denied that mission studies have been on the periphery of theology and excluded from the theological realm. The purpose of this article is to reveal the reasons for this exclusion and to restore mission and mission studies as essential elements of theological education. Through a paradigm shift in theological education, we aim to rediscover the essence of the missional church in expanding God's kingdom. First, we need to establish the identity of mission and define mission studies as "the mission of the church" and "God's mission." Ultimately, all theological fields should intentionally integrate missional dimensions and become missional theology. This approach is an interdisciplinary study that "synthesizes" various fields of theology. This study provides guidelines for reformist theological education that expands God's kingdom through the Korean church, global church, and theological education institutions.
