청년구직자의 기회불평등 인식이 직업선택 가치관에 미치는 영향: 취업정보경로의 효과를 중심으로 = The Impact of Perceived Inequality of Opportunity on Job Seeker’s Occupational Value: Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Job Information Channel

국문 초록 (Abstract)

신고전경제학의 직업탐색이론(Mortensen, 1986)에 의하면, 구직자는 불완전한 정보로 인해 직업선택에 있어 ‘최저전략(Minimax strategy)’ 즉, 예상되는 최소효용을 최대화하는 전략을 택해, 안정 지향적인 취업목표를 설정한다. 현재 대한민국에서 취업준비생의 관심이 과도하게 공무원 시험 및 대기업 취업에 쏠리는 현상은 개인적, 사회적, 국가적 비효율을 양산하고 있다. 정부가 청년구직자에 대한 구직지원을 보다 효과적으로 이행하기 위해서는 직업가치관을 파악하고 구직역량을 높여서 고용 가능성을 확대시킬 수 있는 역량 중심의 기회제공이 필요하다는 문제의식하에, 본 연구는 자원불평등ㆍ결과불평등으로 구성된 기회불평등 인식과 공식적ㆍ비공식적 취업정보경로가 구직자의 직업선택가치관에 미치는 영향에 대해 청년패널조사(Youth Panel) 데이터를 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 결과불평등 인식이 성취지향적인 직업 선택 가치관에 부정적인 영향을 미치나, 비공식적 취업정보경로가 많을수록 이를 완화하는 역할로 작용한다는 것이 확인되었다. 비공식적 취업정보경로, 즉 지인으로부터 정보를 얻는 행위의 과정에서 관련 정보만이 아니라 감정적인 안정 및 확증편향현상에 대한 정보환기효과를 받을 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

According to the job searching theory (Mortensen, 1986) from neoclassical economics, job seekers utilize ‘minimax strategy’ for job choices, which is a decision-making strategy to maximize expected minimum gain due to the risks. It has often been pointed out that job seekers in South Korea are excessively focused on finding their jobs either in civil service or large corporations, which leads towards personal, social and national inefficiency. Recognizing the importance of job seekers’ occupational values in government management for the employment support policy, this study analyzes the impact of perceived inequality of opportunity and job information channel on the job seeker’s occupational value. According to the result, informal job information channel weakens the relationship in which perceived inequality of result strengthens stability-aiming occupational value. Informal job information channel not only provides information relevant to employment, but also produces information ventilation effect to prevent the confirmation biases, and provides emotional stability.
