진주시 역사콘텐츠 소재 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The core part of this study is to present the plan to make the contents out of cultural materials of the Jinju area to enhance the image of the region as well as helping out in economic advancement. The historic material of Jinju-si is divided into the story-telling material and spatial material to have the Nongae and Nammyeong Jo Sik in the story-telling material and the Jinju-seong and Namsa Village for the spatial material.
First, story-telling of historic characters of Jinji helps making approach of those familiar historic characters with the sense of familiarity to approach on unfamiliar characters. Nongae is found in every corner of Jinju-si as its representative character. It is that much closer to the local residents but it is also simply too familiar to attract special interest. However, Nongae is the theme that may comprehensively display Gyobang culture/ Jinju Great Victory/Jinju-seong of Jinju. When the diverse characteristics found in Nongae are combined with the video contents, the local tourism facilitation, enhancement of historic awareness and enhancement of feminism could be expected.
Nammyeong Jo Sik was the person that advocated the Nammyeong Scholar Sector to lead the pinnacle of academic accomplishments of Jinju and nearby areas. Areas outside of Jinju may consider it as unfamiliar that it may be important to link to its friendliness. In particular, his path of academics deepened by moving from Hanyang to Gimhae, Hapcheon to Sancheong without taking a government position could be developed with the beltway route like the “Path of Cheosa’ by connecting the applicable region with Jinju-si. The civil military force of Nammyeong Scholar Sector would be produced in contents as the Jinju cultural sector as in Yugyo net to enhance understanding on such situation by assuming the Imjin Japanese Invasion of the Gyeongsang-do area.
The effect of video contents tourism combined with the local contents generates greater outcome in economic, culture, and social fields. In particular, those specific characters or places exposed through the video contents stimulate the desire for tourism and formulate the tourism image as well as taking important interaction in selecting the tourism site. Contents of historic characters of the region enhance the cultural awareness level of the regional residents as well as contributing to the conservation of traditional culture unique to the area.
Second, the spatial location as Sancheong’s Namsa Village is emerged with the strength as the outdoor shooting site with the facilitation of natural environment. If Andong is the contents around experiences in cultural theme for traditional folk village, ancient residential structures, Hahoe Mask, Byeongsin Gutnori and the like, Namsa Village has to advance its strengths as the village with story-telling that facilitates livelihood, natural movement and natural space. Namsa Village may develop the tourism product that is linked to the local tourism sites by facilitating the strength as the spatial material, and in the event that it is broadcasted as the video spatial material, it would be of help to formulate the local image and advancement as the tourism site for the locality.
And, third, Jinju-seong is known to have the value of 34 billion won per year in the estimation of its service value as the historic culture park with the travel expense approach method. However, this is a value that is evaluated as a park within a city that its intrinsic value could not be counted as numerical figure. Ultimate purpose of the digital contents of Jinju-seong is to prepare the foundation of physical restoration of old Jinju-seong and establish the true and genuine landmark of Jinju. Jinju-seong embraces Namgang River in environment and it has the memory of Jinju Great Victory in history. Through the contents development of Jinju-seong, it maybe advanced into an important educational content in understanding the Korean history during the Joseon Dynasty as well as Imjin Japanese Invasion and other wars.
As mentioned earlier, Jinju-si also has proposed its plan for facilitation by facilitating the historic contents in the local broadcasting and education contents. The independent contents development is more important than any other time for the local broadcasting that has encountered with independent contents development that it has broken away from the present central station-oriented vertical structure. As the method to develop the contents to lead local culture and traditional value along with the local characteristics through the local broadcasting, it shoots and supports the local material with documentary as well as the video contents development through the story-telling.
When looking into the trend of turning education environment into cyber situation, developing the digital-facilitated education contents would be one of the facilitation plans. The contents restored in digital may maximize the education effect as well as the contents production in the original form of culture.
In comprehensive terms, the most important purpose of the contents for the locality would establish the identity of local residents by re-discovering the local history and characteristics. However, this study could present several facilitation plans but has encountered difficulties to discuss detailed outcome or conclusion. However, through this study, it is hoped to enhance the awareness to understand and revitalize the excellence of region through this study.
Although Jinju has the symbols and persons that represent the locality, they are yet to be facilitated appropriately. Jinju is the area with numerous incidents before and after the Korean War through its opening era together with the Seonbi (scholar) spirit of the Joseon Era. In addition to the historic contents discussed hereto, there has to be many researches to have various contents to be led to cultural revival and economic generation as well as the Jinju area and Gyeongsang-do. In addition, for developing new material, systematic support would have to be supported.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 핵심은 진주 지역의 문화소재를 콘텐츠화 하는 방안을 제시함으로써 지역의 이미지 제고와 경제발전에 도움을 주고자 한 것이었다. 진주시의 역사소재 를 스토리텔링 소재와 공간소재로 나누어 스토리텔링 소재에는 논개와 남명 조식을, 공간소재에는 진주성과 남사마을을 들었다.
첫째, 진주의 역사인물을 스토리텔링화 하는 것은 익숙했던 인물을 낯설게 하고 생소했던 인물에 대해서는 친근감을 가지고 접근하는 데 도움을 준다. 논개는 진주시의 캐릭터로서 곳곳에서 찾아 볼 수 있다. 그만큼 지역민과 가깝지만 오히려 특별한 관심을 끌지 못하는 흔한 소재로 느껴진다. 하지만 논개는 진주의 교방문화/진주대첩/진주성을 포괄적으로 보여줄 수 있는 소재 이다. 논개가 가지고 있는 다양한 성격이 영상콘텐츠와 결합되었을 때 지역 관광 활성화, 역사 인식의 고취, 여성의식의 향상과 같은 기대를 가져 올 수 있다.
남명 조식은 남명학파를 형성하여 진주를 포함한 인근 지역의 학문의 절정을 이끌어낸 위인이다. 진주를 제외한 지역에서는 그를 생소하고 낯설게 느끼기 때문에 친근함을 이끌어내는 것이 중요하다. 특히 벼슬에 나가지 않고 한양-김해-합천-산청으로 이동하며 깊어졌던 학문의 길은 해당지역과 진주시가 연계하여 "처사의 길" 같은 둘레길 을 개발 할 수 있다. 남명학파의 의병활동은 유교 넷에서처럼 진주문화권역으로 콘텐츠화 하여 경상도 지역의 임진왜란 상황을 유추하여 당시상황에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있다.
지역의 콘텐츠와 결합한 영상콘텐츠 관광의 효과는 경제, 문화, 사회 분야에서 많은 성과를 창출하고 있다. 특히 영상콘텐츠를 통해 노출된 특정인물이나 장소는 관광 욕구를 불러오며 관광 이미지를 형성하고 관광지 선택에 있어서 중요한 작용을 한다. 지역의 역사인물의 콘텐츠화는 지역주민의 문화의식수준을 향상시키고, 지역 고유의 전통문화 보존에도 기여할 수 있다.
둘째, 산청의 남사마을이라는 공간적 소재는 자연환경을 활용한 야외촬영지로서 장점을 부각시킨다. 안동이 문화소재인 전통민속마을과 고가옥, 하회탈과 별신굿놀이 등 체험을 중심으로 하는 콘텐츠라면 남사마을은 생동감과 자연스러움, 자연공간을 이용한 스토리텔링이 되는 마을로서 강점을 살려나가야 한다. 남사마을이 가진 공간소재로서의 강점을 활용해, 지역관광지와 연계시킨 관광 상품을 개발할 수 있고, 영상 공간 소재로 방영되었을 경우 지역의 이미지 형성과 관광지화에 도움이 될 것이다.
셋째, 진주성은 역사문화공원으로 여행비용접근법에 의해 사용가치를 추정하면 연간 340억 원의 가치가 있다고 한다. 하지만 이것은 도시 안의 공원으로서 평가된 가치일 뿐, 본질적인 가치는 매길 수가 없다. 진주성의 디지털 콘텐츠화의 궁극적인 목적은 옛 진주성의 물리적 복원의 토대를 마련하고 진정한 진주의 랜드 마크로 세우고자 하는데 있다. 진주성은 환경적으로는 남강을 품고 있고, 역사적으로는 진주대첩의 기억을 지닌 장소이다. 진주성의 콘텐츠화 개발을 통해 임진왜란 과 같은 전쟁 뿐 아니라 조선시대, 나아가 한국사를 이해하는데 중요한 교육 콘텐츠로 발전 할 수 있다.
앞서 이야기한 진주시 역사 콘텐츠 소재를 지역방송과 교육콘텐츠를 활용하여 활성화 하는 방안을 제시하였다. 지역 방송은 현재 중앙사 중심의 수직적인 구조에서 벗어나 독자적인 콘텐츠 개발이 그 어느 때보다 중요한 시기이다. 지역방송을 통해 지역성을 살리고 지역의 문화와 전통 가치를 이어갈 콘텐츠를 개발하는 방안으로 스토리텔링을 통한 영상콘텐츠 개발과, 지역소재의 다큐멘터리를 촬영하고 지원 한다.
교육환경이 점차 사이버화 되는 추세로 볼 때 디지털을 활용한 교육콘텐츠를 개발하는 것도 활성화 방안 중 하나이다. 문화원형의 콘텐츠 제작 뿐 아니라 디지털로 복원된 콘텐츠는 교육효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있다.
종합해 보면 지역소재의 콘텐츠화의 가장 중요한 목적은 지역의 역사와 특성을 재발견 하여 지역민의 정체성을 확립시키고자 하는데 있다. 하지만 이 연구에서는 여러 가지 활성화방안을 제시할 수 있을 뿐 구체적인 성과나 결론을 논하기에는 어려움이 있다. 다만 이러한 연구를 통하여 지역의 우수성을 이해하고 되살리자는 의식이 고취될 수 있기를 바란다.
진주는 지역을 대표하는 상징물과 인물이 있음에도 불구하고 지금까지 제대로 활용하고 있지 못하고 있다. 진주는 조선조의 선비정신과 더불어 개화기를 지나 한국전쟁 전후로도 수많은 사건을 품고 있는 지역이다. 여기서 논의한 역사 콘텐츠 외에도 앞으로 다양한 소재를 콘텐츠 화하여 진주지역과 경상우도를 포함한 지역의 문화적 부흥과 경제적 창출로 이어질 수 있도록 많은 연구가 필요할 것이다. 또한 새로운 소재를 개발하기 위해서 제도적인 지원이 뒷받침 되어야 할 것이다.
