흡곡(歙谷) 시중대(侍中臺)의 역사와 명승(名勝)의 향유 양상 = Aspects of the History and Enjoying Scenic Spots of Sijungdae(侍中臺) in Heubgok(歙谷)

In Gwandong Eight Scenic Views(關東八景) of the late Joseon Dynasty, were in the spotlight as the best scenic spot of the time. The site of Gwandong Eight Scenic Views shows some access according to the perspective of the evaluator, and Sijungdae in Heubgok is the space where this characteristic is most clearly visible. Sijungdae was originally called Chilbodae(七寶臺), and its name originated when Han Myeong-hoe was promoted to a minister while traveling here. As the symbolic scenic spots in Gwandong, its paintings by Jeongseon(鄭敾) and Kim Hong-do(金弘道) were handed down, but it has not yet been highlighted what history and what characteristics it has. In this article, I tried to examine the history of the Sijungdae, reveal the aspect of enjoying scenic spots, and find out the various images through Chinese poetry.
Sijungdae has been named a representative scenic spot in Heubgok since Han Myeong-hoe visited. It caught the attention of tourists with its feature of overlooking both the lake and the sea, and in the late Joseon Dynasty, Hohaejeong(湖海亭) was built to appreciate the scenery. Although it was not firmly listed in Gwandong Eight Scenic Views, it boasted a status comparable to that of Gwandong Eight Scenic Views. Writers who visited Sijungdae sang about the beauty of the Sijungdae through poem. They recalled the traces of Han Myeong-hoe, compared the deep atmosphere to the fresh world, enjoyed the arts, and recited the full experience in poetry. These various aspects are derived from the value of scenic beauty of Sijungdae and represent the reason why the Sijungdae was referred to as a symbol of Heubgok.
