학습에서의 성찰 개념 및 교육과정에의 적용 방안 고찰 = A Conceptual Analysis of Reflection in Learning and Its Application in the Curriculum Design

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 학습자의 역량을 길러주기 위해서 강조되고 있는 성찰의 개념과 학습에서 성찰의 역할을 고찰하고 이를 바탕으로 교육과정에 적용하는 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 역량 교육의 틀에서 흔히 언급되는 성찰과 메타인지를 듀이의 성찰과 학습과학에서 논의되는 메타인지를 중심으로 살펴보고 두 개념 간의 관계를 파악하였다. 그리고 심리학의 정보처리이론을 중심으로 학습의 과정에서 성찰의 역할을 확인하였다. 성찰은 학습의 전 과정에서 기억의 효과적인 저장과 인출에 영향을 주며, 학습한 내용을 확장하게 한다. 또한 학습자가 자기 주도적으로 문제를 해결하고 지식과 기능을 능동적으로 습득하는 과정을 설명하는 자기조절 학습 형성에 중요한 역할을 한다. 이를 바탕으로 교과 교육과정 문서의 내용 체계나 성취기준에 성찰을 포함하는 것, 성찰을 주요 단계로 하는 교수·학습 모형과 성찰을 학습활동으로 구성하는 방법을 안내하는 것, 학습 과정으로서 평가를 고려하는 것을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of reflection and its role in learning, which has been emphasized to develop students’ competency, and to explore ways to apply it in curriculum design. To this end, we reviewed the concepts of reflection and metacognition that are commonly mentioned in the learning framework for competency development, by focusing on Dewey’s theory and learning science respectively. Reflection affects long-term memory storage and retrieval processes, and enables students to deepen and widen their learning. It also plays an important role in the formation of self-regulated learning that explains the process of learning in actively acquiring knowledge and skills. Based on this, the followings were suggested for teaching and learning, and assessment. First, reflection strategies or process can be reflected in content framework or achievement standards of subject curriculum. Second, teaching and learning models or guides for classroom activities for reflection can be included. Third, assessment should be considered as part of learning in classroom assessment.
