성장혼합모형을 적용한 중학생의 학업참여 변화유형과영향요인 검증 = Academic Engagement Trajectories of Middle School Students and their Determinant Factors using Growth Mixture Modeling

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to identify academic engagement trajectories of middle school students and their determinant factors using growth mixture modeling. The subjects of this study are 2,590 middle school panel data (1,405 male and 1,185 female students) from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey. According to the longitudinal change of academic engagement of middle school students, there are three latent classes: increase, stagnant, and decrease group. The stagnant group is higher on achievement but lower on grit and academic depression than the increase group. The decrease group is higher on achievement but lower on grit and academic helplessness than the increase group. This study is meaningful in that it examines the characteristics of latent groups in the types of longitudinal change of academic engagement and examines the roles of academic achievement, grit, academic helplessness, social withdrawal, and depression of middle school students.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 성장혼합모형을 적용하여 중학생들의 학업참여 발달양상에서 이질적인 잠재집단을 탐색하고, 잠재집단 분류에 대한 인지, 동기, 정서 변인들의 영향요인을 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018 중1 패널자료 2,590명으로 남학생 1,405명, 여학생 1,185명이다. 연구결과 중학교 1학년∼3학년 학업참여의 종단적 변화에 따른 잠재집단은 3개로 나타나 증가집단, 정체집단, 감소집단으로 명명하였다. 증가집단을 참조집단으로 하였을 때 정체집단은 중1 학업성취도와 학업 무기력, 중3 그릿이 중요한 변인으로 나타났으며, 감소집단은 중1 학업성취도, 그릿, 학업 무기력, 중3 그릿, 학업 무기력, 사회적 위축과 우울이 중요한 변인으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 우리나라 중학생의 학업참여 변화유형에서 잠재집단의 특징과 더불어 잠재집단별로 학업성취도, 그릿, 학업 무기력, 사회적 위축, 우울이 어떠한 역할을 하는가를 살펴보았다는 데 의의가 있다고 본다.
