IPTV는 통신과 방송을 융합하는 정보통신 환경을 가속화시키는 성장매체로 데이터, 음성, 영상 산업 간의 경계를 허물고 있다. 특히 실시간 거래를 중심으로 하는 금융업이나 증권업계에서는 고객유치와 광고수단으로써 IPTV의 성공 가능성을 인정하나 불투명한 시장성 등을 고려하여 해법을 찾지 못하고 있는 상황에서, 공동인프라의 필요성을 느끼고 있다.
따라서, 증권업계에서는 금융업무에 특화된 IPTV를 개발하여 특화된 정보를 제공해야하며, 특화된 정보의 서비스 제공을 위하여 DMC(Data Media Center)를 구축하고, 다양한 정보통신매체를 통한 사업영역을 확대해 갈 수 있는 기반을 확보하여야 한다.
이를 위해서는 IPTV에서 웹 기반의 Interactive TV를 구현하여 시장 선도 솔루션을 적용하여야하고, 실시간 정보의 확인과 응용을 위한 내부 콘텐츠 활용이 필요하며, CP(Content Provider)와 연계된 동영상정보, 리서치정보, 교육정보 등에 대한 외부의 콘텐츠 제휴가 필요하다.
또한, IPTV 사업 주체자의 입장에서도 일반형과 차별화된 프리미엄급 증권정보 제공을 위하여 기업이나 VIP고객을 위한 증권정보 서비스와 상품 차별화 정책이 필요하고, IPTV 네트워크와 서비스 제공 시스템에 대한 투자비용을 감안하여 단계별로 구축하면서 고도화를 해가는 유연한 서비스 시스템을 제공하여, 플랫폼 임대에서 맞춤형 제공 서비스를 해야 할 필요성이 있다.
본 논문에서는 DMC 플랫폼에서 포탈 Application, VOD Application System, Live 방송 Application System, Contents Management System, Total Management System, Service Management System, Digital Rights Management, 영상회의 시스템, Gateway 등을 기반으로 하는 IPTV에서 증권정보 서비스를 위한 네트워크와 DMC 플랫폼에 관한 연구를 수행한다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 IPTV 네트워크에서 증권정보 DMC 플랫폼, 서버, Storage, DBMS, Set Top Box, 정보보안 시스템, 네트워크를 구축하고, IPTV 네트워크와 증권정보 DMC 플랫폼을 분석하여 증권전산 네트워크와 IPTV 증권정보 네트워크의 네트워크 구성과 성능 분석, 서비스와 기대효과 분석을 하며, 인터넷 방송, Cable TV, IPTV를 비교 분석한다. 또한 DMC 플랫폼 분석콘텐츠, S/W, H/W 표준화 분석과 DMC 플랫폼 서비스의 차별화 분석을 수행한다.
IPTV에서 네트워크와 DMC 플랫폼 연구를 통하여 금융과 증권업계의 정보미디어센터로 발전하여 IPTV 네트워크에서 증권정보유통의 허브 역할을 담당할 것이며, 방송매체와 증권업계 간의 정보서비스 표준화를 선도하면서, 구축과 동시에 3 Screen Play를 통해 증권정보 DMC 플랫폼으로 선도적 솔루션으로 구축되어, 증권정보 제공을 위한 IT-Convergence 시대를 선도하는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
또한, 본 연구결과는 B2B, B2C로서 프리미엄 증권정보를 제공하여, 수익 구조를 강화하고, 네트워크에서도 파일교환과 전송매체 및 네트워크 표준화를 제공하여 유무선 정보통신 매체를 통한 유비쿼터스 정보화에 기여하게 될 것이다.
