고등학교의 실용음악과 드럼전공 교과과정 분석 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 실용음악과의 드럼 교육의 체계적인 발전을 위해 국내 고등학교 실용음악 드럼전공의 교과과정을 조사하고 설문조사와 함께 비교 분석하여 발전적으로 나아갈 수 있는 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.
고등학교 실용음악 드럼전공 교과과정 개선을 위해 필요한 자료는 국내 실용음악 드럼전공이 개설되어있는 26곳의 학교중 실용음악교육의 개설연도가 빠른 학교와 높은 입시 경쟁률을 기록했던 8개교를 선정하였다.
연구방법으로는 교육부 홈페이지와 학교홈페이지를 활용하여 교과과정을 수집하였고, 8개교 총 104명의 실용음악 드럼전공 학생들을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였고 그 중 84명이 설문에 참여하여 내린 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 실용음악의 독립적인 학과 운영이 필요하다. 일반적으로 클래식음악, 국악이 통합되어있는 음악학과와는 별개로 단독적인 실용음악학과가 개설, 교육 되어져야 한다. 설문조사 결과 알수 있듯이 학생들의 수업 만족도가 높게 나온학교는 실용음악과를 독립적으로 운영중인 학교들에서 주로 높게 나타났다.
둘째, 고등학교는 대학을 가기위해 입시준비를 하는 교육기관이지만, 기존의 드럼 연주자만을 길러내는 교육에서 더 나아가 급변하는 음악시장을 대처할수 있는 뮤지션으로 길러내야한다. 설문조사와 인터뷰를 진행해보니 대다수의 학생들의 진로 목표가 연주자였는데, 음악관련분야의 다양한직업에 대해 알지 못하고 있는 부분이 아쉬웠다. 또한 고등학교나 대학교 진학후에 학업을 중단하거나 전공파트를 바꾸는 학생들이 생각보다 많았다. 본인 전공 외에 다른 악기나 MIDI, 음향, 작곡 같은 전공 또한 접해봄으로서 다양한 가능성의 기회를 제공해 주어야 한다.
셋째, 실용음악전공자들을 더 많이 학교 현장에 근무할수 있도록 해야한다. 전공레슨만 담당하는 강사가 아닌, 정교사로 학교에 근무할수 있게 해야한다. 기존의 클래식음악이나 국악전공자 출신인 음악교사들은 실용음악을 전공하는 학생들을 지도하는데 한계가 있기 때문이다.
넷째, 미래를 준비하는 교육이 되어야한다. 긍정적인 효과를 나타낸 서울실용음악고등학교의 뉴미디어와 연계된 교육방법을 다른 고등학교들도 참고하여 그에 걸맞는 다양한 워크샵과 현장실습을 경험하게 하고, 창의성을 발달 시켜줄수 있는 교육프로그램과 레코딩, 영상편집, 컴퓨터 악보사보 프로그램 같은 교육을 경험하게 해 1인 미디어 시대에 대응할 수 있도록해야 한다.
실용음악의 불모지였던 우리나라가 30년 만에 이뤄낸 음악의 성과는 정말 위대하다. 여러 시행착오를 거쳐 30년 동안 실용음악교육도 비약적 발전을 이루었다. 앞으로 우리나라의 실용음악교육은 더 많은 노력과 연구를 통해 더 유능한 인재들을 육성할 것을 기대한다. 본 논문을 바탕으로 고등학교 드럼교육이 향상되길 바라며 효율적인 방안이 지속적으로 연구되길 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the curriculum of the practical music drum major in domestic high school and to present a direction for progressing by comparing and analyzing it with the questionnaire for the systematic development of drums education with practical music.
In order to improve the practical music and drum major curriculum of high school, the necessary materials were selected from 26 schools where practical music drum major was established, and 8 schools which had a high rate of competition for high school entrance examination.
As a research method, the curriculum was collected using the homepage of the Ministry of Education and the homepage of the school. A total of 104 students of practical music drums majoring in 8 schools were surveyed and 84 of them participated in the questionnaire.

First, independent study and practice of practical music is needed. In general, a separate practical music department should be established and taught separately from the music department, which integrates classical music and traditional music. As the results of the questionnaire indicate, the school where the students' satisfaction level was high was mainly high in the schools operating independently of the practical music department.
Second, high school is an educational institution that prepares students for admission to college. However, they have to cultivate musicians who are able to cope with rapidly changing music market in education that only existing drum players are raised. As I went through the questionnaires and interviews, there were more students than I expected to stop studying after graduating from school or changing major parts. In addition to your major, you will also need to provide opportunities for a variety of possibilities, such as listening to other musical instruments, MIDI and composition.
Third, we should make more students of practical musicals work at the school site. I need to be able to work at school as a regular teacher. This is because music teachers, who are originally from classical and traditional music major, have limitations in teaching students majoring in practical music.
Fourth, education should be prepared for the future. It is also possible to refer to other high schools as well as to various workshops and on-the-job training in relation to the new media-related education methods of Seoul Music High School which showed a positive effect and to experience the education that can develop creativity, should be able to respond to the media age for one person.

The accomplishment of the music that our country which was a barren of practical music in 30 years is really great. After many trial and error, practical music education has made remarkable progress for 30 years. In the future, we expect that practical music education in Korea will foster more talented people through more efforts and research. Based on this paper, I hope that high school drum education will be improved, and I hope that effective methods will continue to be studied.
