전통공예와 현대공예를 접목한 중등 미술과 수업 활용방안 = Practical using a plan in the medium art class which is engrafted traditional crafts and modern crafts

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 우리나라 공예는 전통공예와 현대공예라는 서로 융화되지 않는 이중구조로 분리되어 있다. 뿐만 아니라 대부분의 학교에서 공예는 거의 다루지 않고 있으며 미술공예를 중심으로 부분적인 공예디자인을 교육하는 실정이다. 역사적으로 전통은 예술적 가치가 높은 선조들의 창조적 소산물을 올바르게 받아 내려오는 것이라고 볼 때, 전통공예의 활성화를 위하여 민족문화를 전승·발전시키고 현대화하는 작업이 절대적으로 필요하다.
본 연구는 우리나라의 전통공예와 현대공예를 중심으로 중학교 미술 교과의 공예교육에 대해 분석해 보았고 그 문제점을 찾아보았다. 그리고 그에 따른 개선방안을 모색함으로써 공예교육의 올바른 방향을 제시해 보는데 연구의 목적을 두었다.
전인적 인간형성의 공예교육은 제1차 교육과정 이후 여러 차례의 개정을 거치면서 미술교육과정의 독자적인 영역을 확보하기도 하였으나, 오늘날에 이르러 산업사회에 맞추다 보니 디자인 영역 속에 흡수되어 애매모호한 위치에 놓여버렸다. 공예의 나아갈 방향이 확실히 정립되지 못하면 그 발전이 정체될 수밖에 없고, 수업을 받는 학생들도 공예의 본래 개념을 알지 못한 채 디자인 중심으로 변질된 것을 이해하는 일이 초래할 것이다.
전통공예와 현대의 공예교육이 서로 발전되는 관계가 되도록 본 논문을 통하여 현재 제7차 교육과정이 적용되고 있는 중학교 미술교육과정을 토대로 미술 교과서의 공예 단원구성과 학습내용을 분석했다. 현재 중학교에서 사용되고 있는 7종 교과서의 공예 관련 학습요소로 제시된 예시작품들을 분야별로 분석했고 실태를 구체적으로 알아보았다. 그리고 분석 결과를 통해 현재 학교에서 이루어지고 있는 공예교육 문제점을 파악하여 개선점을 제시하였다.
질적으로 향상된 공예문화의 발전을 위하여 가장 근본적인 방법으로는 공예교육의 올바른 시행이 필요하다. 이를 위해 가장 필요한 것은 현대공예와 연계성이 부족한 미술교과서의 보완이며 이를 통해 전통미술을 이해시키는 것이다. 올바른 체계의 공예교육으로 인해 공예문화가 지금보다 한 단계 높은 수준으로 발돋움하여 정서를 함양할 수 있도록 일관성 있고 지속적인 노력이 필요하다. 공예의 동시대적 과제는 공예교육의 노력과 모든 반응의 가능성을 포함하는 가운데 모색되어 과거만 아니라 현재에도 살아있고 미래에도 지속되어야 할 문화적 자산인 것이다.
본 연구를 통해 공예교육의 올바른 이해와 학생들에게 필요한 미적 감수성, 창의력을 이끌어내 비판적인 사고능력으로 미술 문화를 발전시킬 수 있는 전인적인 인간 형성의 초석이 되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Korea’s crafts of today is divided into traditional crafts and modern crafts which are inharmonious dual structure. Thesedays, crafts in the majority of the educational establishment is not conducted. Furthermore, an educational institution gives lessons artistic handicraft for the most part adding on the design of industrial arts in part. In history, tradition is transmission of creative works which have higher artistic value. From this point of view, tradition, development, and modernization of national cultures need absolutely for revitalization of traditional crafts.
This paper analyzed the crafts education of art instruction at a junior high school and search for the point at issue around traditional crafts and modern crafts. And, the purpose of this study is finding the solution and presenting the right direction of a crafts education at middle school.
A crafts education of personality development kept their own sphere through several revisions after the 1st curriculum. But, nowadays, it has been placed an obscure position for being absorbed in design which is came he industrial society. If the future of crafts is uncertain, the development crafts cannot help backing up. In addition, students who do not know about fundamental notions of crafts have a strong probability that they will be trained design mostly.
This paper -developing relationship between traditional crafts and modern crafts- analyzed a unit organization of drafts contents of studying in the arts textbook if middle school which has application to the 7th curriculum currently. Moreover, it breaks down illustration works one after the other which are exhibited learning elements related to drafts of several textbooks using at middle school today and looks into the actual condition of those closely. In that order, it grasped potential problems of the crafts education which is enacted at school nowadays and presented improvements standing on analysis result.
A favorite and fundamental way for development of crafts culture which is advanced in quality is straightforward operation of crafts education. For development of crafts culture, first of all, we have to make up arts textbooks which are short of connection with modern crafts and get through traditional arts going by way of that. In like manner, through systematic crafts education, consistent and continuous efforts which make crafts culture upgrade and students inspired emotion. The urgent problem of crafts that is found including efforts of crafts education and every possibility is the cultural assets which must be maintained permanently.
This study will make students have right understanding about crafts education and be a foundation of personality development that improves arts culture standing on creative thinking ability of them.
