2004 Caldecott Awards 수상도서 'ELLA SARAH GETS DRESSED'의 분석 및 적용

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 2004년 칼데콧 수상작인 ‘ELLA SARAH GETS DRESSED’를 소개 및 분석하고 위 수상작을 활용한 통합적 계획을 제시하는데 있다. 연구방법은 먼저 「통합적 접근을 위한 Caldccott Honor수상 도서연구」(이경우ㆍ이정환ㆍ이은화ㆍ이기숙, 1996)에서 사용한 분석 방법을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 특성에 따라 크게 두 부분으로 나누었다. 즉 한 부분은 책 앞표지와 뒤표지를 사진으로 소개하여 어떤 특징이 있는 책인지 이해할 수 있게 하였으며, 다른 부분은 개요표를 사용하여 책에 대한 이해를 할 수 있도록 하였다. 두 번째, 총체적 언어에 대한 통합적 접근으로 유도할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제시하여 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구자는 유치원교사와의 여러 차례의 면담 및 사례 연구를 통해 유치원의 만 4세 반에 실제로 적용하였으며 그 결과를 제시하였다.

The Caldecott Awards Books are appreciated as making the consensus for the understanding multi-culture, making the understands multi-culture and othr peoples as it's theme. The 2004 Caldecott Awards Honer Book is 'Ella Sarah gets Dressed' and written by Chodos-Irvine. The aim of this study is to introduce and analyze 2004 Caldecott Awards Honer Book 'Ella Sarah gets Dressed' and to suggest ana integrated curriculum implementation. To achieve the aim of this study, the picture book was analyzed using th analysis method of picture book by Lee, Kyung Woo, etc(l997) and was reviewed by kindergarten teachers. Finally, this researcher constructed integrated teaching plan and applied it about 5 weeks to children. As a result, The 2004 Caldecott Awards Honer Book 'Ella Sarah gets Dressed' could improve the experience of children's teaming, especially in language arts. Therefore we could utilize good quality books for the integrated teaching of children's whole language aspect.
