      This study examines the educational philosophy and pedagogical practices of Seokjeon (石顚) Park Han-young (朴漢永, 1870-1948), a pivotal reformer in modern Korean Buddhism, with a particular focus on his strategies for cultivationg Buddhist human resources amid the socio-political upheavals of the early twentieth century. Park articulated an integrated and praxis-oriented vision of education graoundee in three core principles: a fundamental renewal through recovery of Buddhism’s original spirit; a socially engaged and participatory model of Buddhist education resposive to social changes; and holistic pedagogy aimed at cultivation of morally grounded and fully developed human beings. His insturctional methods were distinguished by the reinforcement of traditional scholasticism, rigorous adherence to precept as a pedagogical axis, and the proactive incorporation of modern educational techniques and academic disciplines. This multifaceted approach developed into an inclusive model of education that encompassed both monastics and lay practitioners, transcending conventional sectarian boundaries. Significantly, Park's disciples-may of whom were educated through institution such as the Central Buddhist College-played a vital role in advancing the modernization and social outreach Korean Buddhism. His educational vision laid the groundwork for a sustainable framework of contemporary Buddhist education, one that harmonizes the principles of progressive pedagogy, human-centered learning, and a dialectical synthesis of tradition and modernity. As such, Park Han-young’s legacy continues to inform and future-oriented paradigmas within the field of Buddhist educational thought.
