A Study on the Relationship of Internet Addiction to Self-Concept among High School Students

The purpose of this study is to delve into the correlation between Internet addiction in high school students and their self-perception. This study hopes to develop for them to build the right self-perception and stay away from Internet addiction.
The following is a summation of the study's findings:
First of all, by inspecting the distinction of gender and self-perception related to Internet addiction, the study showed that in the aspect of general and emotional self-perception there is a very meaningful statistical difference. It also suggested that in the realm of academic self-perception there is a meaningful statistical difference.
Secondly, when searching for the distinction between graded students' self-perception related to Internet addiction, it was showed that in the aspect of academic and emotional self-perception there is quite a large statistical differential. However, the study suggested that there is little difference between the two groups in the area of general, emotional and social self-perception.
Third, when studying the distinction between academic achievement levels of high school students related to Internet addiction, the study showed that in the aspect of academic self-perception there is a very noticeable statistical difference. Also the study suggested that in the field of general and emotional self-perception there is a meaningful statistical difference. Nonetheless, the study suggested that in the aspect of social self-perception there is little statistical difference between three groups.
Fourth, when searching for the distinction between high and low standards of living of students, it was showed that in the realm of general, academic and emotional self-perception there is a quite a large statistical chasm. The study also suggested that in the area of social self-perception, there is a small difference between low and high standards of living.
Fifth, during the time spent inspecting the distinction between school types relating to curriculum, such as academic versus technical school, the study showed that in the aspect of academic self-perception there is quite a vast statistical difference. The study also suggested in the aspect of general and emotional self-perception there is a distinct difference. The study also showed that there is a miniscule difference in the realm of social self-perception.
Sixth, when searching for a correlation between Internet addiction degree and self-perception, it was showed that in the case of the addict group there is a negative correlation very closely related to general, academic and emotional self-perception. In the case of the non-addict group, it was showed that there is a positive correlation to the aspect of general, academic, social and emotional self-perception.
