학습장애 학생의 재개념화: ‘학습장애 학생’ 누구를 말하는가?* = Reconceptualizing Students with Learning Disabilities: Who are ‘Students with Learning Disabilities’?*

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 미래 교육에 대응하는 학교 교육 현장에서 학습장애는 어떻게 재개념화 되어야 할 것인가에 대해 탐구하였다. 이에 첫째,「장애인 등에 대한 특수교육법」,「기초학력 보장법」과 같은 법적 측면에서 학습장애와 관련 용어의 정의를 분석하고, 학습장애의 재개념화를 위한 구체적인 핵심 개념 요소 및 신설 항목을 제안하였다. 둘째, 학교 현장에서의 학습장애 판별 및 진단 관련 사례를 기반으로 기초학력지원에도 불구하고 지속되는 학습의 어려움을 겪는 학습자, 기초학력지원과 특수교육지원 사이에 놓인 학습자, 특수교육지원센터에서의 학습장애 학생 진단 관련 어려움 등의 학습장애 재개념화를 위한 이슈를 제시하였다. 셋째, 학교 현장에서 학습장애 관련 이슈를 해결하고, 다양한 학습 문제를 가진 학생들의 맞춤형 지원을 제공할 수 있도록 한국학습장애학회의 ‘학습장애’ 정의를 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore how learning disabilities should be reconceptualized in school education in response to future educational needs. Firstly, we analyzed the legal definitions of learning disabilities and related terms, as outlined in the「Act on Special Education for Persons with Disabilities, etc.」and「Act on Gurantee of Basic Academic Ability」. Based on this analysis, we proposed specific core conceptual elements and novel criteria for a reconceptualized understanding of learning disabilities. Second, based on cases related to the identification and diagnosis of learning disabilities in school settings, issues were presented for the reconceptualization of learning disabilities, such as learners who continue to face difficulties in learning despite basic academic support, learners caught between basic academic support and special education support, and challenges related to diagnosing students with learning disabilities at special education support centers. Thirdly, in order to address issues related to learning disabilities in school settings and provide tailored support for students with various learning challenges, we proposed a definition of 'learning disabilities' by the Korean Learning Disabilities Association (KLDA).
