The fifth generation (5G) cellular communication and the internet of things (IoT) technologies are coming true.
In the near future, most people and things communicate with each others through the IoT devices and the 5G
networks. By using mm-wave frequency band such as 28 GHz, the 5G can provides an increased capacity,
improved data rate, and decreased latency. However, there are many issues and challenges of antenna
measurement in the 5G frequency band. In addition, there are new electromagnetic interference (EMI) problems
in the IoT devices because the largest part of IoT are wireless devices. This paper describes a technology trend
of 5G antenna measurement in mm-wave frequency and also illustrates the design challenges to EMC and EMI
for IoT devices.
