The Treasury--A Bright Example.--As the fiscal year of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions drew toward its close last year, it became evident that its treasury would be very deeply in debt unless its friends rallied to its relief. Warning to their patronizing Churches of this alarming prospect began to be issued in March, and as the danger increased the appeals to the ministers and to the people became more earnest.
