< Statue of Inchon Kim Seong-Su > confirmed the occurrence of yellowing due to the old paint used in the past conservation process. The purpose of this study was to confirm the yellowing and statue components and to perform appropriate conservation treatments based on the analysis results. Scientific material analysis methods include color classification and shape observation through a stereoscopic microscope, identification of components between yellowing parts and statue using portable XRF, material identification by cross-sectional layer using Raman spectroscopy, and compound identification of yellowing parts using XRD. From the material science analysis, the state was estimated to be a quaternary alloy consisting of copper, tin, zinc, and lead. In addition, the paint with yellowing appears to be phthalocyanine green, and it was estimated that Quartz, Calcite, and Rutile were used as body pigments. Based on the results of the material science analysis, pretreatment cleaning tests, cleaning, rust prevention, and surface strengthening were performed in the order of conservation treatment. < Statue of Inchon Kim Seong-Su > is currently exposed to the outdoor environment and cannot avoid damage due to environmental factors, so it is necessary to maintain the original shape of the statue through long-term monitoring, continuous prevention management, and periodic preservation treatment.
