2023-2024 하임텍스틸 디자인트렌드를 반영한 인테리어용 서피스제품디자인 개발 = Development of Surface Product Design for Interior Reflecting 2023-2024 Heimtextile Design Trend

In recent years, the residential space of the contactless era has been transformed into a space containing various values, unlike in the past. It has changed into a space where family members have to live together and do various things while seeing each other’s faces all day long. Many changes have occurred as the interior design of the residential space is needed.
Moreover, the market for interior surface product design has increased in that the residential space should be wider than before, more individualized, and changed into a space where you can meet nature. However, unlike these changes, the design suitable for consumer needs is insufficient. In addition, it is often said that it is necessary to focus on developing various interior product designs that reflect consumer trends and apply design trends. Therefore, this study aims to identify and reflect the trends presented at Heimtextil 2023-2024 to help the interior product industry and related design industries as basic data by developing designs suitable for consumer needs.
The scope of this study was selected as a range of four trend-themed Make and Remake, Continuous, From Earth, and Nature Engineered presented at the Heimtextil 2023-2024 Fair, and interior design products for bedding, mural walls, and sofa carpet designs were developed.
The research method was investigated and analyzed focusing on literature such as domestic and foreign prior research papers and professional books to consider the definition of design trends. In addition, the presentation of surface product design for interior was presented by constructing and converging abstraction and geometric figure alignment, and visualizing the design using Procreate and Photoshop.
As a result, the following conclusions were drawn through the development of surface product design for interiors reflecting the 2023-2024 Heimtextil design trend. First, the subject of bed design reflecting Make and Remake is ‘the shape of leaves.’ Cotton was used, and the bedroom was designed incorporating abstractism and geometric shapes to express minimalism, and the image of circular economy and sustainability was naturally created to top off the residential space. Second, the theme of the mural wallpaper design reflecting Continuous is ‘flowers in full bloom.’ Silk was used to pursue practicality, simplicity, and waste-free design, and a simple mural wallpaper design was developed by combining abstractism and geometric shapes. Color and closedloop recycling possibilities are well reflected. Third, the theme of sofa design reflecting From Earth is ‘the line of the natural world.’ The design emphasizes natural colors and materials, combining abstractism and linear composition to express the lines of the natural world.
The sofa design realized the aesthetics of natural colors through the arrangement of lines. Fourth, the theme of carpet design reflecting Nature Engineered is ‘the world of curves.’ The nylon material, which redefines ‘natural’ and is processed as an organic material through technology, is applied to the carpet due to its durability.
In addition, the curves intersect each other to form a new surface and a section. The design feels close to nature by extracting colors closely related to the earth and soil. The durability of the carpet is improved, and cleaning is easy. The roof pile is designed using the manufacturing method of the level loop.
Therefore, design trends by consumer needs are critical in the design development of surface product design for interiors, so if one identifies design trends that change every year and develop surface product designs for interiors, it will help to strengthen competitiveness in the development of the interior design industry and increase sales. This study hopefully will inspire more designers and serve as a reference for research on interior design trends

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 몇 년 동안 언택트 시대의 주거공간은 과거와는 달리 다양한 가치를 담은 공간으로 변화되었다. 가족 구성원들이 함께 생활해야 하고 하루 종일 서로간의 얼굴을 보며 다양한 일을 해야 하는 공간으로변화하여 주거공간 인테리어디자인이 필요성을 느끼면서 많은 변화가 생겨났다. 또한 주거공간은 이전보다 넓어져야 하고 보다 개인화 되어져야 하며, 자연공간과 만날 수 있는 공간으로 변화되어져야 한다는 측면에서 인테리어용 서피스제품디자인 시장도 증가 되었다. 그러나 이러한 변화와는 달리 소비자 욕구에 적합한 디자인은 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 소비 트렌드를 반영하고 디자인 트렌드를 적용한 다양한 인테리어용 제품 디자인개발에 주력해야 할 것이라고 사료된다.
이에 본 연구는 하임텍스틸(Heimtextil) 2023-2024 제시하는 트렌드를 파악하고 반영하여 소비자욕구에적합한 디자인 개발발을 통해 인테리어 제품 산업뿐만 아니라 관련 디자인산업에 기초자료로서 도움을주고자 함이 목적이라고 할 수 있다.
본 연구범위는 하임텍스틸(Heimtextil) 2023-2024 박람회에서 제시된 4가지 트렌드 테마 메이크 앤 리메이크(Make and Remake), 컨티뉴어스(Continuous), 프럼 어스(From Earth), 네이처 엔지니어드(Nature Engineered)를 범위로 선정하였으며, 용도는 베딩(Bedding), 뮤럴벽지(Mural Wallpaper), 소파(Sofa), 카펫(Carpet) 등 인테리어용 서피스 제품디자인을 개발하였다.
연구방법은 디자인트렌드 정의를 고찰하기 위하여국내외 선행연구논문, 전문서적 등 문헌을 중심으로조사 분석하였다. 그리고 인테리어용 서피스제품디자인 개발 제시는 추상주의, 기하학적 도형 선형을 구성하고 융합하였으며, 프로크리에이트(Procreate), 포토샵(Photoshop)을 사용하여 디자인을 시각화 하여 제시하였다.
따라서 2023-2024 하임텍스틸 디자인 트렌드 테마를 반영한 인테리어용 서피스제품디자인 개발을 통해다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째 메이크 앤 리메이크를 반영한 베딩디자인 주제는 ‘나뭇잎의 모양’이다. 면 소재를 사용하였으며, 미니멀리즘을 표현하기위하여 추상주의와 기하학적 도형을 접목한 베딩디자인 하였다. 그리고 순환경제와 지속가능성에 대한 이미지를 자연스럽게 연출하여 주거공간에 포인트를 주었다. 둘째 컨티뉴어스를 반영한 뮤럴벽지디자인 주제는 ‘활짝 핀 꽃’이다. 실용성, 단순성, 낭비가 없는 디자인을 추구하여 실크 소재를 사용하였으며, 추상주의와 기하학적 원형을 결합하여 심플한 뮤럴벽지디자인을 개발하였다. 색상 및 폐쇄 루프 재활용 가능성을잘 반영하였다. 셋째 프럼 어스를 반영한 소파디자인주제는‘자연계의 선’이다. 자연 컬러와 천연 소재를 강조하여 디자인하였으며, 자연계의 선을 표현하기 위하여 추상주의와 선형 구성을 결합하여 디자인하였다.
소파디자인은 선의 배열을 통해 자연스러운 컬러의미학을 구현하였다. 넷째 네이처 엔지니어드를 반영한카펫디자인 주제는 ‘곡선 세계’이다. 천연을 재정의하고 기술을 통해 유기 재료로 가공된 나일론 재질은단단하여 카펫에 적용하였다. 또한 곡선이 서로 교차하여 새로운 면 구성 형태를 나타냈다. 땅과 흙에 치우친 컬러를 추출하여 자연에 밀착되는 느낌을 디자인하였다. 카펫의 내구성이 향상되고 청소가 용이하고루프파일은 레벨루프(level loop)1)의 제조 방법을 사용하여 디자인하였다.
