The use of smart construction technology is increasing to promote digitalization and automation in the construction industry. This study focuses on real-time quality control by integrating 3D scanning, one of the smart construction technologies, with BIM models. Traditionally, the quality control process in construction sites has been performed manually by checking the quality status against the drawings, but using 3D scanning technology can improve accuracy and efficiency in actual projects. We propose a procedure for shape quality control of precast concrete members using 3D scanning and BIM, and verify its practicality by examining automation.
