청소년 자해의 이해 및 특성에 대한 고찰 = Understanding adolescents’ self injurious behaviors: A review of the literature

The purpose of this study was to present a comprehensive review of the literature for understanding adolescents’ self injurious behaviors. This study reviewed 59 academic articles and books for the understanding of conceptualizations and psychological characteristics of self injurious behavior among adolescents. The authors implemented an exhaustive search for articles and books published in 1967 through 2010 on self-injuriuos behaviors. Based on the literature review, the authors provide the definition and motivation of self injurious behaviors, intriguing factors of self-injurious behaviors, gender and age effects, and counseling strategies for intervening self-injurious adolescents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 자해에 관한 문헌연구를 바탕으로 청소년 자해행동의 특성을 이해하고 개입을 위 한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 1967년부터 2010년까지 자해를 주제로 진행된 국·내외 학술논문 과 단행본을 중심으로 문헌연구를 실시하였다. 자해 연구와 관련하여 국내문헌은 극소수여서 국외 문헌을 중 심으로 문헌연구가 이루어졌다. 검색된 150건의 연구물 중 59편이 문헌연구에서 사용되었다. 문헌연구를 바 탕으로 자해행위의 정의, 자해의 동기, 자해행위에 대한 이론적 관점, 자해행위의 촉발요인, 자해행위의 성별/ 연령별 특징, 자해 청소년의 상담 및 개입 방안을 살펴보았다.
