국제해운서비스기업의 자원 및 해운서비스역량이 성과에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Resources and Shipping Service Capabilities on Performance: Empirical Evidence from International Ocean Service Firms

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국제해운서비스기업을 대상으로 기업이 보유한 자원이 해운서비스역량에 미치는 영향과 해운
서비스역량이 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 연구목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 자원준거관점과 서비
스역량에 관한 기존 이론 및 실증연구에 기초하여 연구모델을 설정하고, PLS분석을 활용하여 이를 검정하였
다. 국제해운서비스기업의 해운서비스역량은 시장정보능력, 해운서비스개발능력, 고객관계구축능력, 해운서
비스신뢰성능력, 정보시스템능력 등 5개 차원으로 측정되었다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 국제해운서비스기업
을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 연구모형 검정을 위한 자료를 수집하였다. 구조방정식모델의 한 유형인 PLS
분석을 활용하여 102개 국제해운서비스기업의 응답 자료를 실증분석결과, 국제해운서비스기업의 주요 자원
인 재무적 자원, 물리적 자원, 인적 자원, 기업이미지자원 및 관계적 자원이 해운서비스역량에 긍정적인 영향
을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 특히 국제해운서비스기업의 물리적 자원이 해운서비스역량에 가장 큰 영향을 미
치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 국제해운서비스기업의 해운서비스역량은 기업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는
것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과를 통해 학문적․실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study empirically examines the relationships between international ocean service firms’ resources, shipping
service capabilities and performance. The development of the research model is based on the resource-based view
of a firm and the empirical studies on a firm's resources and capabilities. We collected the data from Survey
Questionnaire, and tested the model using a Partial Least Squares regression. The survey of 102 shipping companies
was conducted from September 10, 2013 through November 10, 2013. The results from the empirical model suggest
that shipping service capability of a firm is affected by its financial, physical, human, corporate image and relational
resources. In addition, the findings indicate that shipping service capability of a firm has a positive effect on its
performance. The theoretical and managerial implications of the research findings are discussed.
