(A) Sustainable IT BSC-Based Framework for Assessing the Strategic Impacts of Green IT Initiatives = 그린IT 이니셔티브들 전략적 영향들은 평가하기위한 지속가능한 IT BSC 기반 프레임워크

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리는 더 이상 낭비할 시간이 없다. 시간이 빠르게 흘러 지구 온난화 문제는 이제 우리 모두가 고민해야 할 쟁점이 되었다. 기업 규모를 아울러 모두가 환경영향을 최소화할 수 있는 조치가 취해져야 한다. 이러한 노력의 일환으로 전세계적 수준에서 정보화 기술을 활용할 수 있는데, 정보화 기술은 전체 온실가스 배출의 2%를 차지한다. 그러나, 나머지 98%는 정보화 기술이 지구와 기업들과 사회를 도울 수 있는 기회로 볼 수 있다.
본 연구는 녹색 정보화 기술(IT) 시범사업들과 그 전략적 영향성을 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 녹색 정보화 기술의 직간접적 기여도를 살펴보고 확인할 수 있도록 매우 유용한 균형성과평가체계를 개발하여 사용하였다. 또한, 지속가능한 녹색 정보화기술 균형성과평가체계로 일컬어지는 녹색 정보화 기술 평가체계를 4가지의 정보화기술 균형성과평가체계(BSC)적 관점과 주보프(Zuboff)의 정보체계의 자동화/정보화 목표와 지속가능성(경제적, 사회적, 환경적)의 기여도와 통합해 보았다.
본 연구는 다음과 같은 질문에 대한 답을 찾고자 하였다. 첫째, 녹색 정보화 기술(IT) 시범사업의 원동력은 무엇인가? 둘째, 녹색 정보화 기술(IT) 시범사업의 이점과 전략적 기여도를 체계적으로 분석할 분석적 틀은 어떻게 마련하는가? 셋째, 녹색 정보화 기술(IT) 시범사업은 기업의 전략적 목표에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 지속가능경영의 3대축에 어떠한 기여를 할 수 있는가? 본 연구에 제시된 분석적 틀은 기업이 환경적 사회적 경영을 일반경영과 통합할 수 있는유용한 경영 도구가 되며, 분석틀의 각 칸별로 전략적 지도와 측정값을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

We don’t have time to waste, time is running, and the global warming is an issue that concern to all of us. Business of all sizes must embrace actions in order to reduce their impact on the environment, and one tool to help with this effort is the information technology, which on a global level, is responsible for 2% of emission of greenhouse gases. However, the remaining 98% is seen as an opportunity for IT to help our planet, our companies and our society.
The purpose of this thesis was to analyze green information technology (IT) initiatives and their strategic impact. And to have done this, I developed and created a very useful balanced-scorecard framework to explain, understand, and identify the direct and indirect contribution of green IT initiatives. The green IT valuation framework, called here a sustainable green IT balanced scorecard, integrates the four IT BSC perspective with the Zuboff’s automate/informate goals of information systems and the contribution of the sustainability (economic, social and environment).
This study also sought to answer the following questions: 1) what are the driving forces for implementing green IT initiatives? 2) How can an analytical framework be built to systematically analyze the benefits and strategic contribution of green IT initiatives? And 3) how green IT initiatives impact the strategic goals of a firm and how they can contribute to the triple bottom line?
The framework demonstrated to be useful as a management tool to hopefully integrate environmental and social management with the general management of a company. Besides, the strategy map and measures for each cell of the framework were provided
