초등교사가 지각한 의사결정 참여와 교사직무 효능감과의 관계 = The relationship between teachers’ participation in decision making and teacher efficacy of elementary school teachers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등교사가 지각하는 의사결정 참여와 교사효능감을 살펴보고, 의사결정 참여와 교사효능감은 어떠한 관계가 있는지 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 대상으로 서울특별시 11개 교육청 소속별로 각각 2개교씩 22개교에 재직 중인 초등학교 교사 247명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 측정도구는 의사결정 참여에 관한 질문지와 교사효능감에 관한 질문지를 사용하였다.
연구 결과, 부장교사와 교원단체에 가입한 교사일수록 의사결정 참여를 더 높게 지각하였고, 교사효능감 역시 부장교사와 교원단체에 가입한 교사가 더 높게 나타났다. 그리고 초등교사의 의사결정 참여와 교사효능감은 유의미한 정적상관관계를 보여 초등교사가 의사결정 과정에 참여를 할수록 교사효능감은 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 좀 더 다각적이고 심충적인 연구가 이루어지기 위해서는 참여관찰과 심층면담 등 다양한 연구 방법을 이용한 후속연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between teachers' participation in decision making and teacher efficacy of elementary school teachers. For this purpose, we carried out a survey on 247 teachers in active service in 22 schools selected from each of the 11 district office of education and conducted the survey between September 20th, 2005 and October 8th, 2005. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 version program, t-test and one-way ANOVA. The correlation between teachers' participation in decision making and teacher efficacy of elementary school teacher was investigated by calculating structural equation by Pearson correlation.
The results of the study were as follows. First, there were significant differences in the teachers' participation when making a decision according to the teachers' background factors such as position, and membership of a teacher's organization. Second, there were significant differences in teacher efficacy and its subfactor, self-regulatory efficacy, according to the teachers' background factors such as position, and membership of a teacher's organization. Third, there was a significant positive correlation between teachers' participation in decision making and teacher efficacy.
In conclusion, first, given the teachers' perception of participation in a decision making according to their position, it's clear that there were still restricted chances for them to participate in the decision making processes regarding school administration. It's a must that they should be given more such chances.
Second, teachers with a short career should be given more chances to adapt, and programs that can help increase teacher efficacy need to be developed and implemented.
