This study considers how to assign container cranes for the arriving vessels. The container cranes scheduling are affected many factors such as calling schedule, booking prospect,. We developed the mathematical model for the decision making. It includes the waiting time of vessel's the violation cost of calling schedule, the fixed cost of gantry cranes. We solved this problem using the genetic algorithm and analyzed the results of genetic algorithm. The results of genetic algorithm was converged very fast and the run was within a few seconds.
