순자 (荀子) 의 군자 관과 그 교육방안 = Suen Tse`s View of Man of Virtue

The purpose of this study is to explore Suen Tae`s view of `Man of Virtue` and clarify its educational methods. The conclusions drawn from this study are as follows. 1) his view of human nature is analyzed as follows; (1)Man is the biological being to pursue his disires. (2)The nature of man is naturally egoistic. (3)Goodness of man is unnatural. (4)It is possible to change the nature of man through education. (5)Man is the best valuable animal in the world because he has good manner. 2) Suen Tse`s qualities of `Man of Virtue` is specified as follows; (1)humane and justice (2)wisdom (3)courage (4)advocation (5)moderation (6)good manner 3) Suen Tse`s educational method can be devided into two ways. His view of learning characterized as follows; (1)importence of practice (2)self-education (3)sincerity (4)progressiveness (5)continuous effort (6)the environmental effects (7)good teacher. And the fair standard of reward and punishment is needed.
