國際旅行斡旋業의 現況과 課題 = The Theme and status of International Travel Agents

Travel agency business, one of main stream in tourism industries, should be attentive not only for the social welfare level but also for the national welfare standards like the importance of inbouncltour business.
The anticipating sucess of the 24th Seoul olympic games could be greatly contributed to the development of various domestic industrial field and bring also a substantial change of great promotion to the outbound tourism industry as well as inbound tour business.
Accordingly travel agents must do their best for their professions in the preparation and sales for tourist products and in the tasks of travel agents, and for the customer's convenience.
Therefore, this study has theoretically cultivated the main contents which the basis of travel management, and not only the present situation of international travel agents in korea have researched and analyzed, but also the upbringing methods are established as follows.
1) Our government should give international travel agency the consistant and efficient assistance of administration and institution
2) Suggesting the differentiation of travel agents' function such as separating wholesalesrs from retailers and the method of enlarging travel agents.
3) Korea's international travel agency should develop the profitable travel product and favorate product by customer's class.
4) There is needed for the close cooperation between our government and the related department in the development for travel products and its sales promotion.
5) To set up the preventive policies of travel Agents' dumping and the plans for development of tourist products.
6) Cultivate specialist who has knowledge of Tourism business, also the institute of professional eclucation is required.
