The purpose of this study was to analyze the Career Education Act and the Career Education Ordinance of local governments to explore the direction of improving the career education support system for community cooperation, which has been emphasized in career education. The concept of the local career education cooperation system was established through discussion and analysis of the current status of community cooperation in career education, and the contents of career education support for community cooperation were analyzed. The role analysis of the superintendent of education and the heads of local governments, the role and function of the local career education center and career experience support center, and the community cooperation system were analyzed. As a result of the study, career education ordinances for community cooperation were enacted at the metropolitan level, focusing on the city and provincial offices of education, and at the basic level, local governments, which are general administrative systems. Based on the results of the study, the direction of improvement of the career education support system to strengthen cooperation with the historical society was discussed.
