대구광역시 지역특화거리의 보행환경 평가 = Assessment of Pedestrian Environments of the Local Specialized Streets in Daegu

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the levels of walkable environments in Local Specialized Streets in Daegu. This study covers five types of Local Specialized Streets with qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods using a field survey and the GIS analysis. The assessment tool of walkable environments includes a total of 21 factors of the four categories (safety, comfort, convenience, and accessibility). Results of this study showed that different levels of safety, comfort, convenience, and accessibility were found depending on the areas. First of all, from the category of safety, Gyodong Jewelry Street and Dongseongro were found to be safer than other areas while, in terms of comfort, Dongseongro was rated higher than other streets. Meanwhile, convenience was rated high in areas of Gyodong Jewelry Street and Dongseonro, as was the same finding of the safety category, and accessibility was similar in all five streets. It is meaningful that this study has assessed the levels of walkable environments in five Local Specialized Streets with assessment tools developed in this study. This study also has a significance in that the quantitative analysis was carried out with qualitative analysis through field survey. The tool developed in this study can be used to evaluate the level of walkable environments in other areas.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

보행은 일상생활 속에서 가장 많이 접하게 되는 기본적인 이동수단이다. 따라서 보행 환경을 높은 수준으로유지하는 것은 도시민의 삶의 질에 있어 매우 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 대구광역시 지역특화거리를 대상으로 보행환경 수준을 평가하고, 보행환경의 구축이 잘 되어있는지 검증하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 대상지의 보행환경 현황을 파악하기 위해 시각적 보행환경 관찰과 보행환경 평가지표를 통한 현장조사를 진행하였다. 보행환경평가지표는 안전성, 쾌적성, 편의성, 접근성으로 분류되었으며 현장조사와 함께 GIS 분석기법을 활용한 질적 및 양적 평가도구를 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 지역특화거리 간의 보행환경 수준의 편차가 존재하였다. 이는 각 골목의 특색에 맞는 보행환경 개선 정책이 필요함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 다양한 연구가 이루어지지 않은 대구광역시 지역특화거리를 대상으로 보행환경 평가를 진행하였으며 현장 조사를 통한 정성적 평가와 함께 정량적 분석을 진행했다는점에서 의의가 있다.
