유리에 은박을 적용한 연구 = A Study on Applying of Silver Leaf to Glass

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 유리 작업에 은박을 적용하여 작품을 표현하는 과정에서 국내에 부족한 유리와 은박의 융합 데이터를 만든 연구이다. 산소에 노출될 시 변색 되는 성질을 지닌 은박이 유리에 융합되었을 때 은박의 성질이 잘 보존될 수 있는 온도 실험을 여러 단계로 진행했다. 본 연구를 통해 유리에 은박을 적용할 수 있는 범위를 확장하여 유리 작업의 새로운 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 은박을 접목할 유리의 종류에 대한 기초 조사가 병행되었으며 시중에 유통되고 있는 유리의 투명 강도와 색온도에 따라 구분 지어 사용한 실험을 통해 데이터를 제시하였다. 최근 미술 재료로서 유리의 물성에 대한 기대와 관심이 고조되어 있으며, 더불어 유리에 다양한 재료의 접목을 시도한 작품들이 다수 창작되고 있지만 유리에 은박 적용을 연구한 사례가 거의 없어 정보를 얻는 데 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 유리에 은박을 적용한 다채로운 작품 개발에 이바지할 수 있다는 점에서도 그 의미와 가치가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is a study that created convergence data of glass and silver leaf, which is lacking in Korea, in the process of expressing works by applying silver leaf to glass work. The experiments on adjusting temperatures have been carried out in several stages to ensure the properties of silver leaf, which discolors when exposed to oxygen, can be well preserved when fused to glass. This study aims to suggest a new direction of the glass work by expanding the scope of the application of silver leaf to glass. This paper has conducted a basic investigation on the types of glass to which silver leaf is to be applied and presented data on experiments that used commercially available glasses according to their transparency intensity and color temperature. Recently, the expectations and interests in the physical properties of glass as an art material have increased, and many works have been created attempting to combine various materials with glass. However, few cases have been researched on the application of silver leaf to glass, making it difficult to obtain information. In this sense, this study is significant and valuable in that it can contribute to the development of diverse works that apply silver leaf to glass.
