국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문에서는 Chopin prelude op.28의 24곡을 연구하여 prelude의 역사상 Chopin prelude가 차지하는 위치, 배경, 전체적인 구성과 24곡의 분석 및 상호 연관성에 관해 자세히 알아보았다.
prelude란 원래 전주곡이라는 뜻으로 어떤 곡의 시작이나 도입의 역할을 하는 곡이었다. 바로크시대에는 Suite의 서곡으로 쓰였고 fugue와 짝지워져서 사용되어졌다. 19세기에 와서는 Chopin 으로 인해 그 의미와 역할이 변화하였는데 그는 과거의 형식에서 벗어나 독립적인 악곡의 형태로 prelude를 작곡하였다. 그의 prelude는 낭만시대이후 많은 작곡가들에게 영향을 주어 prelude역사상 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다.
작품분석을 통해서 볼 때 Chopin의 prelude는 과거의 prelude 와는 다른 것이지만 작곡하게된 동기나 전체적인 구성에 있어서는 J. S. Bach 평균율의 영향을 받았다. 즉 두 작품 모두 24개의 곡으로 구성되어 있고 각각 다른 24재의 조성을 가지며 그 조성배열의 순서가 규칙적이라는 것이 공통되는 점이다. 곡의 양식이나 구조, 전개방법에 있어서 Chopin의 prelude는 서로 다르며 prelude만이 가지는 독특한 양식은 없다. 대부분 12~40마디의 짧은 소품으로 구성되어 있고 각각 다른 24개의 조성을 모두 포함하고 있다. 이 prelude는 선율, 리듬, 화성, 반주형태등 여러면에서 그의 독특한 피아노적 스타일이 잘 나타나 있으며 하나의 동기가 곡 전체를 이끌어가는 한부분형식의 곡이 많다.
전 prelude의 내용은 각각 다른 24개의 소품으로 이루어 졌으나 조성, 빠르기, 길이 등에 있어서 서로 대조적이며 상호 조화를 이루고 있다.
선율의 전개방법이나 리듬, 화성진행 등에 있어서도 연관되는 점이 많으므로 이 prelude를 24개의 독립된 작품으로 이루어졌다기 보다는 곡 전체를 하나의 완전한 작품으로 보는 것이 타당하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The thesis was undertaken to study the Prelude Op.28 by F. Chopin. For this study, the writer examined the historical background of the prelude and analized a described each pieces in detail in terms of harmonically and stylistically.
The prelude means a piece which is played at the beginning or as an introduction of a certain piece of music, although the meaning and the role of prelude has been changed throughout the period. During the Baroque period, it was used as a beginning music of a site or with a fugue in pair. In the 19th century, the meaning and the role of the prelude were changed by Chopin.
The motivation and the whole structure of this preludes are influenced by the Well-Tempered Clavier by J. S. Bach. But the style and the method of development, Chopin freed himself from the patterns of traditional prelude style. Many composers after Romantic period are influenced by his style of prelude and he had been taken an important position in the history of prelude.
Generally speaking, most of each Chopin's preludes are short pieces which are comprised 12-40 measures and a mono form which means one motive leads the whole piece. There are no particular form or style in Chopin's preludes. His pianistic styles are Well presented in this piece. The melodic lines, rhythmic patterns harmonic progressions, and the accompaniment styles reveal this music as Chopin's representative work.
This preludes include 24 independent pieces, though they are related each other in terms of contrasting themes, tempo, lengths of music, characteristics of the contents, and rhythmic patterns, etc. Therefore, it would be reasonable to consider this piece as one large piece rather than treating it as 24 separate pieces.
