협동적 집단게임을 통한 유아의 사회화 과정에 대한 문화기술적 연구 = An Ethnographic Study on the Socialization Process of Cooperative Group Games Played by Kindergarten Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 협동적 집단게임을 통한 유아의 사회화 과정이 어떻게 이행되고 있는가를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하여 집단게임을 장기적으로 실시하여 게임에 참여하는 아동과 교사의 사회적 행동을 참여관찰, 이를 문화기술적 연구방법을 통하여 사회화 과정을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 유치원의 만 5세 유아 20명과 학급담임 교사 1인을 연구대상으로 유아의 협동성을 증진시킬 수 있는 협동적 집단게임을 고안하여 1, 2학기를 통하여 1주에 약1회씩 총 15회의 게임을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 보면, 게임의 각 단계에서 포기보다는 게임 경험을 여러 번한 중기가 되면서 협동적 태도가 나타났으며 이후 계속 증진되었다. 특히 게임규칙 정하기, 게임실시, 게임 결과판정, 게임전체 평가 단계들에서 아동들은 협동성은 물론 친사회적 행동이 요구됨을 스스로 인식하였다. 또한 경쟁적 태도가 감소되었을 뿐만 아니라 상대편에 대한 호의적 태도를 나타내는 변화를 보였다.

This study investigates the socialization process of children during cooperative group games played at kindergarten. Observation was conducted in one public kindergarten classroom for 5 months through 1 academic year. Twenty 5 year old children and their teacher were observed 15 times during cooperative group games which had been especially designed to increase children's cooperative behaviors. Field notes and videotapes obtained throughout the observation period were analyzed via a three step process. The findings are as follows. The children's cooperative behaviors were increased through the game activities. Specially children demonstrated and recognized prosocial behaviors in making rules, playing the main game, deciding winners or losers, and evaluating a games activity stages. Competitive behaviors, which were easily displayed in competitive team games, gradually decreased.
