As the Fourth Industrial Revolution changed the financial market, the Fintech industry, which incorporates ICT technology, developed rapidly. One of them is the Internet Bank.
Since the launch of K-bank and Kakao Bank in Korea, commercial banks are also consolidating non-face-to-face services and stores in order to increase profitability. However, senior citizens in their 50s or above are
using various methods such as simple screen composition and dedicated consultation service for the elderly. I found it temporary for problem solving.
Therefore, in this study, we analyzed internet banks guidelines and usability evaluation factors based on existing literatures and cases of active seniors who are economical and mobile accessible among seniors.
The purpose is to improve usability.
As a result of the user research, it was found that the image for understanding the text was not clear, difficult to understand, and the font size was small, so it was difficult to read and understood, and it was
inconvenient because there was a lot of input information during the authentication process.
Therefore, this study proposed 7 goals and 13 detailed guidelines of UX design to improve these problems.
On the basis of the problems identified, the UX design improvement target of the guidelines was proposed. The seven goals of the guidelines are to convey information in a language that is easy to understand, to avoid errors through feedback, to provide solutions to problems over time, to provide easy and understandable usage, to increase efficient and controllable operations, and to be concise, consistent, and clear. The interface is provided, eliminating unnecessary steps.
The Transfer Information in a Familiar Language that is Easy to Understand aims to make it easier to recognize and reduce effort when encountering information in a familiar language. Error prevention through feedback aims to induce error prevention in the process of using Internet banks.
Provide a solution for a long time problem is to provide a solution when the user can not solve for a long time to help the user's inconvenience smoothly.
Provide easy and easy to use method When a user has a problem, the purpose is to easily and quickly see how to use it.
Increasing efficient and controllable operation The purpose is to present functions and images without confusing them so that users can quickly understand them.
Provide a simple, consistent and clear interface The purpose is to help users understand.
Eliminate unnecessary steps It is for users to use it quickly and easily.
It is hoped that the proposed guidelines will be used in the design of 3rd and 4th Internet banks, and that there are many studies on internet banks.
