The Influence of East Asian Gardens in Europe

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to discussion the influence of east asian gardens in europe. To do this, we studied in two ways; analysis of the present conditions and photographing, research materials about the form of physical structure and review of historical documents. The results is follows: First, In the eightieth and the ninetieth centuries Far East and the European gardens have some aspects in common which can be summarize in the idealization of the nature, the strong relationships between landscape painting and garden design, the spatial organization with the prevalence of irregular and naturalistic elements and the equilibrium of contrasting forms. Second, The Chinese garden is an attempt to reproduce the magnificence of the high rocky mountains, the peaceful lakes, the moving waterfalls, the European garden of the eightieth and the ninetieth century is inspired by the cultivated landscape with its meadows, buildings and wooden areas. Third, The Japanese garden express an abstract symbolism related to the religious and philosophical meanings, the modern minimalist gardens try to find a new significance as a way to come back to the nature.
