지역사회 거주 중장년층의 건강정보 지향 관련 요인 = Factors Influencing Health Information Orientation in Middle-aged Community-dwelling

Background:It is important time for middle-aged because they should shift to a healthy elderly by utilization of correct health information and healthy behaviors. The aim of this study was to investigate the level of health information orientation (HIO) and identify the factors influencing HIO according to socio- demographic and health related characteristics of middle aged in community.
Methods:A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted by self-reported using structured questionnaires.
The data was collected from June to July 2014 with 465 middle aged and 40 to 64 years old living in the community. Multiple stepwise regression analysis was used to examine the determinant of HIO.
Results:In the two sub-domains of HIO, health information engagement mean score was 2.30±1.09 and the health information apprehension level was 1.34±1.15 on average (maximum 4 points). Regression analysis showed that the sub-domains of HIO, the level of health information engagement was significantly higher in the 40-49 age group than 50-64 age group (β=-0.094, P=0.048) and high school or above education level (β=0.224, P<0.001). Those who pay more than 100,000 won per month (β=0.097, P=0.047) were significantly high in the level of health information apprehension.
Conclusions:In order to improve the level of HIO, it is necessary to implement tailored health promotion education considering the sociodemographic and health related characteristics of the subjects. It is required in the future, the development of tools and multidimensional factors that are appropriate for the middle-aged when identifying the factors influencing of health information orientation.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구배경: 중장년층은 올바른 건강정보 활용 및 건강행위실천으로 건강한 노년으로 이행해야 하는 중요한 시기이다. 연구의 목적은 지역사회에 거주하는 중장년층을 대상으로 건강정보 지향의 수준을 알아보고 이에 영향을 미치는 인구사회학적 및 건강 관련요인을 파악하기 위함이다.
방법: 구조화된 설문지를 이용한 자가 기입식의 횡단적서술연구이다. 자료수집은 2014년 6월부터 7월까지로, 지역사회에 거주하는 만 40-64세 이하의 중장년층 465명을대상으로 하였다. 건강정보 지향에 영향을 미치는 요인은단계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.
결과: 건강정보 지향의 수준은 건강정보 참여 수준이 평균 2.30±1.09점, 건강정보 걱정 수준이 평균 1.34±1.15점이었다. 회귀분석 결과 중장년층의 건강정보 지향에 영향을미치는 요인으로 건강정보 참여는 연령이 낮을수록(β =-0.094, P=0.048), 최종학력이 고졸 이상일수록(β=0.224, P<0.001) 높게 나타냈으며, 건강정보 걱정은 월평균 의료비지출이 많을수록(β=0.097, P=0.047) 높았다.
결론: 건강정보 지향 수준이 낮은 집단에 대해 인구사회학적 및 건강 관련 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 건강증진 교육프로그램 개발이 요구되며, 추후 중장년층을 대상으로 한건강정보 추구행위 영향요인 파악시 대상자 특성에 맞는도구개발 사용 및 다차원적 요인이 함께 고려되어야 할것이다.
